Experts Call for Stronger Artificial Intelligence Framework in Pakistan
Technology and innovation experts have raised concerns about the existing gaps in Pakistan’s Artificial Intelligence roadmap, calling for a more comprehensive national strategy to accelerate it adoption and innovation.
Need for Research, Funding, and Collaboration
During a recent policy discussion, specialists pointed out that limited funding, lack of research infrastructure, and insufficient industry collaboration are hindering progress. They suggested that the government work closely with universities and the private sector to develop solutions for healthcare, agriculture, and governance.
Focus on Ethical and Regulatory Standards
Participants also underlined the need for clear ethical guidelines, data protection laws, and workforce training programs to ensure responsible AI use. Experts warned that without timely reforms, Pakistan risks falling behind in the global Artificial Intelligence race.
