Khawaja Asif Warning to India
The Khawaja Asif warning has once again drawn attention to rising Pakistan India tensions, as the Defence Minister cautioned New Delhi against repeating past military misadventures. Khawaja Asif said that if India attempts aggression again, “it will, by the will of God, be buried in the wreckage of its own aircraft.”
According to AsalPakistan, the minister added that India’s latest warlike rhetoric is a desperate effort to “revive its tarnished reputation.” He emphasized that Pakistan’s previous restraint should never be mistaken for weakness, saying, “If India tries again, the score will be much better than 0–6.”
Indian Officials’ Provocative Statements
The renewed Pakistan India tensions stem from remarks by several Indian military leaders. Indian Air Force Chief Amar Preet Singh recently claimed that his forces had downed five Pakistani aircraft, while Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi accused Islamabad of supporting terrorism and warned that India would deliver such a strike that Pakistan would “lose its place in history and geography.”
Meanwhile, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accused Pakistan of increasing its military presence near Sir Creek and hinted that “a route to Karachi passes through it.” Analysts believe such comments are aimed at stirring nationalist sentiment ahead of India’s upcoming elections.
ISPR Response: ‘Delusional and Provocative’
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan issued a strong ISPR response condemning the Indian remarks. It called the statements “delusional, provocative, and jingoistic,” warning that such rhetoric could destabilize regional peace.
According to the ISPR’s official statement, India has long portrayed itself as a victim while perpetrating terrorism and violence in South Asia. The statement said the international community now sees India as “the true face of cross-border terrorism and the epicenter of regional instability.”
Pakistan’s Readiness and New Normal
Recalling the events of 2019, the ISPR reminded India that its fighter jets were shot down after violating Pakistan’s airspace. It warned that “India seems to have forgotten the wreckage of its aircraft” and the consequences of provoking a nuclear-armed neighbor.
The military media wing emphasized that Pakistan has developed a “new normal” of rapid, decisive, and destructive response. “Those who talk about erasing Pakistan must know that any such attempt will lead to mutual destruction,” the statement warned.
Commitment to Peace and Stability
Despite the strong Khawaja Asif warning, Pakistan reiterated its desire for lasting peace and stability in the region. However, both the Defence Minister and ISPR stressed that peace cannot come at the cost of sovereignty or dignity.
Pakistan’s leadership has consistently emphasized dialogue and diplomacy but maintains that the country will defend itself if provoked. As tensions rise, Islamabad’s message remains firm — Pakistan seeks peace, but is always prepared for defence.
