Smuggling Bid Foiled at Peshawar Airport

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully intercepted a couple attempting to smuggle heroin-filled capsules through Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar airport . Officials revealed that the suspects had ingested dozens of capsules filled with high-grade heroin.

Medical Scans Confirm Narcotics Inside Bodies

According to ANF officials, intelligence reports led to the couple’s detention during security screening. Subsequent medical examinations confirmed the presence of narcotics inside their stomachs. Both were immediately transferred to a medical facility for safe extraction of the capsules.

Investigation Launched

Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation to trace the network involved in the drug smuggling attempt. Officials stated that the couple had planned to travel to a Gulf country. Legal proceedings are underway under Pakistan’s anti-narcotics laws.
