NEPRA Holds LESCO Accountable

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has imposed a penalty of Rs10 million on the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) over its failure to prevent electrocution incidents within its service areas.

Negligence and Safety Violations Identified

According to NEPRA, the company’s negligence in maintaining power lines and equipment resulted in several tragic accidents. The regulatory body noted serious lapses in safety protocols, inspections, and preventive measures that could have saved lives.
