Maryam Nawaz Emphasizes Saudi Investment in Punjab

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that Saudi investment in Punjab represents a promising new phase of economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Addressing a ceremony organized for the Pak-Saudi Business Council delegation in Lahore, she said the Punjab government is committed to providing every possible facility to foreign investors seeking to invest in the province.

She noted that Punjab is moving forward on modern economic lines, supported by new infrastructure, industrial reforms, and transparent policies that encourage both local and international investment. “The arrival of this Saudi delegation is a sign of prosperity and good fortune for Punjab,” she remarked, emphasizing the province’s vast potential in trade, agriculture, and energy.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Share Deep Ties of Brotherhood

Highlighting the enduring Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations, Maryam Nawaz said that both nations share a deep bond of unity and faith. She praised the recent Pak-Saudi defence cooperation and acknowledged Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia, which further strengthened bilateral trust.

“The people of Pakistan highly appreciate our friendship with the Kingdom, especially the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,” she said. “We are grateful to His Highness for the warm welcome extended to our Prime Minister and for his continuous support in promoting peace and prosperity.”

Maryam Nawaz further said that protecting Harmain Sharifain is a sacred duty for Pakistan and an honour bestowed upon the nation due to its unwavering ties with Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Delegation Praises Punjab’s Investment Environment

Prince Mansoor bin Muhammad Al Saud, leading the Saudi delegation, said that a new era of Saudi investment in Punjab has begun. He appreciated the Punjab government’s warm hospitality and assured long-term cooperation in multiple development projects.

He added, “Saudi investors should have come to Punjab long ago, as this region offers tremendous opportunities in industry, construction, and agriculture.” Prince Mansoor confirmed that Saudi Arabia is determined to increase its investments in Pakistan, particularly in sectors that will contribute to the province’s social and economic progress.

Punjab’s Vision for Sustainable Economic Growth

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government has launched several initiatives to attract foreign investors. These include simplified investment procedures, industrial park developments, and tax incentives for joint ventures.

Officials believe that Saudi investments could bring significant capital inflows, generate employment, and strengthen Pakistan’s export potential. The collaboration also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which encourages international partnerships in renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure.

Economic experts view this renewed interest as a “win-win” opportunity for both countries — allowing Pakistan to benefit from foreign capital and expertise, while Saudi Arabia gains access to one of South Asia’s fastest-growing markets.

A New Chapter in Pakistan–Saudi Economic Partnership

The Saudi investment in Punjab signifies more than just business cooperation; it marks the beginning of a strategic economic alliance built on trust, cultural ties, and mutual goals.

By encouraging Saudi investors to explore Punjab’s diverse markets, Maryam Nawaz hopes to turn the province into a leading destination for global investors. Her administration continues to prioritize transparency, infrastructure modernization, and innovation to ensure sustained growth and investor confidence.
