The Gaza peace talks 2025 entered their third consecutive day in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh, where delegations from Hamas, Israel, the United States, Qatar, and Turkey gathered to negotiate an end to the Gaza war. The meeting, mediated by Egypt, is built on a 20-point proposal introduced by US President Donald Trump last month, outlining a framework for a ceasefire, hostage release, and a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
Representing Qatar is Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, while Turkey’s intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin and US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are also participating.

Speaking from the Oval Office, President Trump expressed optimism about the Gaza peace talks 2025, telling reporters there is “a real chance to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.” He added, “We want the release of all hostages immediately, and the United States will do everything possible to make sure both sides adhere to any deal.”

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 67,160 people have died in the conflict, with more than half being women and children, figures that the United Nations deems credible.
