Shocking Crackdown: FIA Smashes Passport Agent Mafia Pakistan in Larkana Raid

Passport Agent Mafia Pakistan: FIA Arrests Two in Larkana Crackdown on Fake Passport Network

Passport Agent Mafia Pakistan Under FIA Scrutiny

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has intensified its crackdown on the passport agent mafia Pakistan, which has been deceiving citizens by promising quick passport processing for hefty fees. The fraudulent network, active in several parts of Sindh, was recently exposed after the FIA Hyderabad Zone and the Composite Circle Larkana conducted a successful raid on the Qamber City Passport Office.

Officials confirmed that the operation was launched after multiple complaints were received from applicants who had been tricked into paying extra charges for expedited services that do not exist under Pakistan’s official passport system.

Two Agents Arrested During FIA Larkana Operation

During the FIA’s operation in Larkana, two suspects — identified as Noor Muhammad and Amjad Ali — were arrested on the spot. According to the investigation team, both individuals were operating as middlemen, misleading citizens by claiming they could “speed up” passport issuance in exchange for large sums of money.

Authorities recovered 21 passports, two laptops, and one desktop computer from the suspects’ possession. These devices contained personal data and scanned documents of passport applicants, which were allegedly being misused to prepare fraudulent files.

FIA Recovers Digital Evidence and Foreign Currency

The FIA revealed that preliminary examination of the recovered electronic equipment showed detailed records of applicants and potential evidence of forgery. In addition, investigators found foreign currency of multiple countries, raising concerns that the suspects might be connected to an international human smuggling network.

The agency has started forensic analysis of the recovered data to identify victims, collaborators, and other individuals associated with the passport agent mafia Pakistan. The arrested suspects are being interrogated, and more arrests are expected as the investigation progresses.

Nationwide Crackdown Against Passport Agent Mafia Pakistan

The passport agent mafia Pakistan has been active for several years, exploiting citizens by falsely claiming to have special access inside passport offices. The FIA spokesperson emphasized that such agents have no legal role in the passport issuance process and warned the public to avoid dealing with unauthorized intermediaries.

Officials stated that nationwide operations are being carried out to trace similar fraudulent networks in other cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The FIA also encouraged people to report such scams through its official helpline or by visiting nearby FIA offices.

FIA Urges Public Vigilance

The FIA urged citizens to always apply for passports through official government channels, such as the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) website or authorized passport offices only. Any person or agent offering “urgent” or “guaranteed” passports in exchange for money is engaging in fraud.

Authorities reassured the public that the FIA’s operations against the passport agent mafia Pakistan will continue nationwide. The agency has vowed to bring all perpetrators to justice and ensure transparency in the country’s passport issuance system.
