FESCO Smart Meter Rates 2025: Latest Revised Prices for New Electricity Connections

FESCO Smart Meter Rates 2025 — Official Notification

The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has announced the new FESCO Smart Meter Rates 2025, which will be enforced across all its operational zones starting September 1, 2025.
According to the circular issued by GM (C&CS) Mubashar Hayat Rao, the updated rates are designed to make connection charges more transparent and fair for consumers.

These changes apply to both domestic and commercial users, aligning with FESCO’s broader digital transformation plan.

Revised Prices for Single-Phase and Three-Phase Smart Meters

Under the updated FESCO Smart Meter Rates 2025, the price of a single-phase smart meter has been set at Rs. 23,500, while connections with service lines up to 40 meters will cost Rs. 26,000.
For three-phase smart meters, the base cost is Rs. 65,500, and Rs. 76,000 where service lines extend up to 40 meters.

These rates are part of FESCO’s modernization plan to ensure efficient power distribution, accurate metering, and reduced energy theft across the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company network.

Rates for Lines Exceeding 40 Meters

For connections where the service line length exceeds 40 meters, costs will be calculated using the NEPRA-approved estimation formula.
This formula considers multiple factors including distance from the transformer, type of wire, and infrastructure requirements.
You can view NEPRA’s official tariff and policy details on the NEPRA website .

Implementation and Internal Directives

The official notification has been circulated to all Sub-Divisional Engineers (SEs) under the FESCO network. The directive ensures that all new applications received after September 1, 2025, follow the revised FESCO Smart Meter Rates 2025.

Digital Metering and Future Initiatives

The FESCO Smart Meter Rates 2025 are part of a wider initiative to promote digital billing and improve real-time monitoring.
Smart meters will help reduce power losses, prevent overbilling, and ensure better load management across urban and rural areas of Faisalabad.

FESCO also plans to introduce an online smart meter application portal, allowing customers to apply, track, and pay for connections digitally — a step toward transparency and convenience in Pakistan’s electricity sector.
