Veteran Politician Passes Away
Senior PPP leader and former Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani, passed away in Karachi on Monday after a brief illness. He was receiving treatment at a local hospital where his condition reportedly deteriorated earlier in the day.
Longstanding Service to Sindh
Durrani was a prominent political figure known for his decades-long service to Sindh and his close affiliation with the Pakistan Peoples Party. He played a pivotal role in provincial legislation and governance during his tenure as Speaker.
Condolences from Across the Political Spectrum
President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and other national leaders expressed deep grief over Durrani’s death, describing him as a dedicated public servant and a loyal party member who worked tirelessly for the people of Sindh.
